Scenes like these are not atypical to Ghanaian roads, especially when the roads are as smooth as here.
This, though, does take the biscuit. A big vehicle like this has a centre of gravity disproportionate to the speed. I hope to work to a day when we use more of our cameraphones to snap such road indiscipline...
Wherever you may be, enjoy the weekend--and travel safe!

*Terrible* I think our fellow Ghanaians have become more indisciplined on our roads AFTER the recent Obour-driven road safety campaign.
Oh dear, the Obour campaign!! Whatever happened to that?!
I'm not sure... I stopped watching TV around March but I see signs of Obour's various campaigns in the papers from time to time....Kinda reminds me of the Vice-President's campaign against indiscipline some years back; it sparked more public urination and littering than ever before. That's GH for you.
Now I am keen to hear more about this Obour campaign. Are such campaigns regularly driven by individuals rather than government departments in Ghana?
After Abena's comment, is public urination a problem in Accra? I can assure you that it can be here in Australia over the holiday period, when people tend to drink too much!
Hi Kris, I guess every day is a holiday here in Accra! These campaigns maybe sponsored by a government department plus a so-called "development partner" or two. A star (i.e. a rapper like Obour) may get behind them to give 'em celeb credibility. I totally do not see Obour as the independent originator of the campaign but maybe I'm totally wrong.
