Terrible Traffic on Spintex Road 17 Aug, 2009

Both northbound and southbound directions revealed tremendous traffic yesterday evening due to an accident on the Tetteh-Quarshie interchange. Those among us who are foolishly intrepid decided to walk instead of staying in a vehicle that was charging you for essentially being in traffic! This picture attests to that "foolishness". My camera-phone was a worthy target for theft but, hey, anything for a photo-op!

Somehow, I cannot help wondering how this picture is a bit of a metaphor of Africa--that for all the chaos that exists, there's always a glimmer of hope--somewhere, somehow...
