What is Accra Pictures by Day and Night?

Accra is the capital of the small, West African country of Ghana, which achieved its independence in 1957 from its colonial master, the United Kingdom. It celebrated 50 years in 2007, and is projecting itself fast and furiously as "gateway to West Africa".

It's an exciting city, with its unique problems, but with it close to the Atlantic ocean, and many beaches, who can resist coming here?

Apologies for the absence

Here's hoping you all have a wonderful weeekend, but before I go, the reason for the absence has more to do with seriously sporadic broadband internet connection, which somehow screwed up

For some strange reason, I was unable to BROWSE for pictures and upload, so I am doing that here through EML to BLOG service by

I went to Ghana's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) [website:] to get my learner's license, and here's the proof!;-)

Have a good one!

Given that Sunday is Africa Union Day, (it's always on the 25th May), Monday will be a public holiday. Yipee!!

Hope your broadband internet problems are resolved soon. What a pain!

Congrats on getting your learner's permit. I'm also thinking about learning to drive. I'm not looking forward to it, though, but it would be better if I knew how to drive.

Take care,

P.S. Happy Africa Union Day! In the States, Monday is also a public holiday -- Memorial Day.

Yes, happy Africa Union Day to you! This past week in the VI had events to celebrate today as African Liberation Day.

Hopefully all is well with you and yours. I've been quiet for a while, I know. Feel free to stop by on my side anytime!

God bless,
